We commence our trek from Lukla embarking on a gradual descent for the first hour to get towards Cheplang village. There you would get to witness the glorious peak of Mt. Khumbila (18900ft), a sacred mountain on which no man has set foot. We further descend until we find ourselves at the place we spend our night at, Phakding.
As you slowly descend towards Namche Bazar you come across a pine forest that also features a plethora of Rhododendron flowers which would just take your breath away. You cross the bridge over Dudh Koshi while on your way and this daunting experience shall surely be stapled into your memory for a lifetime. You go through Sanasa and head to Namche Bazaar to stay the night.
Discover the vibrant town of Namche Bazar on a day filled with a variety of activities. Take in the serene beauty of the massive snow-capped peaks, including Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde, and many more. For the adventurous, we have a day trip to Khumjung village, located at an elevation of 3,780 meters, where you can learn about the friendly and culturally rich Gurung communities.
The fairly flat nature of the terrain while making our way out of Namche Bazaar makes for an easy commencement of our trek for the day. However, this surely doesn't mean that the adventure shall not continue for the rest of the journey. Whilst immersing yourself in the majestic beauty of peaks including Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam, you pass by friendly locals and amazing views of greenery enriching your trek phenomenally. After a walk through the beautiful pine and juniper forests of the region, you find yourself at the destination of Tengboche.
The seventh day of your trek starts with breakfast in the beautiful vistas of the Tengboche village. The trail follows a downward slope for about 4 hours taking you to your destination of Dingboche which is located 4360m above sea level. This village is also a gateway to trekkers heading towards Makalu mountain and Hinku valley.
Stonewalled fields and rocky landscape oozes you with pleasantness as you leave the village of Dingboche. Lhotse and Ama Dablam gives us a chance to witness their glory to the fullest as we embark on the trek. A 3 km walk from there would take us to a yak herding spot of Bibre, where you witness the tranquil nature of the yak just going about their business of grazing. Walk for about 2 hours, then you shall find yourself in the village of Chhukung.
As you are climbing higher on the elevation ladder you must take the second day off at Chhukung to familiarize yourself with the atmosphere. A lot of exploration of the surrounding area is in store for you today. If you feel like undertaking some additional adventure for the day, we shall climb to the rocky elevation of Chhukung Ri situated at 5546m above sea level.
In an attempt to conquer the top of the highest pass on our trip, we leave the village of Chukkung. We recommend you carry plenty of water and snacks with you as there are no restaurants or lodges on the entire way. After a total of 7 hours walk, you finally reach Kongmla la pass walking through serene lakes and rocky paths. The ascend to the top is definitely worth it as you are greeted with open arms by a plethora of snowcapped mountains.
Although you may feel like the toughest path is behind you, there is still some left. The descent down to the village of Lobuche is one of the hardest yet. So use extreme caution as the splendid views might be quite distracting at times
As you have your breakfast and undertake your day's trek you first come across a nearby glacier. The rocky and windy terrain shall be passed in order to reach Gorakshep. The region also provides picturesque views of Mt. Pumori for you to indulge in while walking. We would have lunch there.
You should be extra cautious and follow the Sherpa's instructions as he leads you toward your major destination of Everest Base camp. As a matter of fact, the paths to the destination are rather unconventional and change every year due to the moving glaciers. You pass by many rocky dunes, moraine, and streams to step on the base camp of Mt. Everest. The base camp located at an altitude of 5364m sure is a hard one to explore but totally worth it. You shall then spend some time there to appreciate the sheer majesty of the base of the peak before returning to Gorakshep for the night.

After indulging in the splendid view we descend down to Lobuche and have lunch there. We then descend further along the Dudh Koshi river basin for an estimated 3 hours along the grassy ridge to reach Dzonghla.
As you rise in the village of Dzonglha, you are greeted by the crisp view of the sun dwindling over Mt. Cholatse. As we are on the verge of triumph over Chola Pass, this trek is bound to be one of the toughest. As we are headed west of the village we already feel the adventure just setting in with the rocky paths and icy glaciers along the way. The off-beaten path often crusted with ice leads us to a basin close to the pass. We rise above the heights of the pass only to witness the mesmerizing scenery of crisp white mountain ranges. The top also gives off a colorful vibe as there are prayer flags swaying along with the strong winds.
After the picturesque view we grasped, it was time for the return. We then carry along a filled path with rhododendron flowers for 4/5 hours to reach our destination of Dragnag. On the way, we get a chance to witness the longest glacier in Nepal, the Ngozumpa glacier.
Today you shall ascend to the serene village of Gokyo before settling in for the night. As you walk through the rocky beaten paths you are presented with majestic views of the mountains but the sun-kissed Mt. Everest triumphs it all towering above other peaks. Despite having to climb for a little while, you will have a fairly leveled-out trek for the rest of your day.
This day demands an early start as we must reach Marlung for the night after making it to the highest point of Rejo La pass. We descend down gently and reach Dudh Pokhari, a beautiful lake situated within the Gokyo valley. From there we ascend a path leading us to the destination of Rejo La Pass. As we are atop the pass, we witness the majestic turquoise lakes of the Gokyo valley with the reflection of the snowy white mountains. The amazingly enriching scenery is something that would just last you a lifetime. Despite the wonderful view, our stay at the top is limited. After taking in the view for a while we shall descend down the rocky and slippery paths to our next destination. Reklama Tsho and Renjo lake greet our path as we make our way to Malang. An hour of walk from the lake then shall lead you to the comfort of your lodge.
As we have our breakfast along with the crisp view in Marulung, we descend down a route used by traditional Tibetan traders. Walking down this historic road we reach Tartanga after crossing the river of Bhote Koshi. The path will then descend further down to the Thame which is host to a 325-year-old Gompa, which adds a cultural flair to your trek. Passing by such splendid places, you reach the blossoming town of Namche Bazaar featuring colorful prayer flags and a glittering marketplace
