Overview

Langtang valley trek offers a quick getaway to discover the glaciers, mountains, high-altitude lakes, and pine forests of Langtang National Park (1710 km2). The park treasures mount Langtang Lirung (7246 m/23766 ft) and numerous ice-capped peaks, grassy lawns,s, and alpine meadows. During the Langtang valley trek, you can observe an estimated 3,689 species of flora, 1043 species of vascular plants, 46 species of mammals, 345 species of birds, and 30 species of fish. Langtang National Park is home to Snow Leopard, Clouded Leopard, Musk Deer, and Red Panda. Bird species symbolic of the Park are the Impeyan pheasant, Ibisbill, White-winged redstart, and Snow partridge.

You will start this trek by taking an 8 hours bus drive to Syabrubesi. From there you will trek along the Langtang river and get to Kyangin Gompa (3,049/10000 ft). You will hike to Kyangjin Ri (4350m/14268 ft) from where you can experience a panoramic view of the Langtang range. You will continue trekking further to Langshisha and Tesrgo Ri from where you can get stunning views of mount Dorje Lakpa and Shisapangma. After then you will trek back following the same trail. Throughout the trail, your guide will tell you interesting details about the park. After getting back from the trek, you can explore rest of the Kathmandu doing amazing activities until your departure.

Trip Itinerary

Our representative will pick you up at the international airport and drive you to the hotel. After then you will take a meandering evening walk with your guide through Kathmandu’s heritage sites, and get acquainted with one another over dinner together.
Today you will spend the day discovering medieval Kathmandu. Venture into Pashupatinath and visit Nepal’s largest Buddhist stupa, the Boudhanath Stupa. Later afternoon you will visit the monkey temple and then stroll around the durbar squares in the evening. Overnight stay at a hotel near Thamel.
You will take an early morning 7 hours bus drive to Syabrubesi via Trisuli and Dhunche. On the way, you can see the beautiful mountain range of Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh, and Langtang. You will trek for half an hour before staying overnight in Syabrubesi.
After breakfast, you will trek to Lama Hotel along the Langtang River. Today you will mostly trek through beautiful Rhododendron and Oak forest and finally get to Lama Hotel for staying overnight.
Today along the way you can see many giant rocky mountains and waterfalls through their barren surface. You will get the first glimpse of Langtang from the green meadows of Ghoda Tabela. You will continue ascending the trek through the alpine grasslands and reach Langtang village. From there you will trek further and get to Mundu for staying overnight.
Today you will get to Kyanjin Gompa one of the prime attractions of the Langtang valley trek. During the trek, you will pass by the largest Mani wall in Nepal. Afternoon you will explore this holy shrine while experiencing the stunning mountain views of Langtang. You will stay overnight at Kyanjin Gompa.
You can rest today at Kyanjin Gompa or explore the Tserko Ri (5000m/16,404ft). You can trek up the moraine to see the breathtaking view of Langtang Lirung or climb Kyangjin Ri behind the town which offers amazing views of the Langtang range. You can trek up to Tserko Ri and spend the day acclimatizing on this beautiful hilltop. You can get inspiring views of the rocky high tall rugged Himalayas. Afternoon you will descend to Kyanjin Gompa for an overnight stay.
You will trek back to Lama Hotel following the Langtang river through Mundu and Ghoda Tabela. You will stay overnight at Lama Hotel.
Today you will trek downwards through the scattered houses of Tamang village all the way to Syabrubesi. You can see rich subtropical vegetation and forested hills throughout the day. You will stay overnight in Syabrubesi.
After 7 hours of driving, we will get back to Kathmandu, get some rest, and meet for a farewell dinner from Trek Around Himalayas.
