Trip Itinerary

Upon arrival at Paro Airport (7,000ft), you'll be greeted by our Bhutanese tour escort who will drive you to the hotel through the scenic valley of Paro. After settling in and freshening up, take a leisurely stroll around the charming town of Paro. Your stay includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and you'll spend the night at the hotel.
We'll start our day by driving to the ruins of Drugyel Dzong, a site of significant historical importance. It was from this Dzong that the Bhutanese successfully defended against Tibetan invaders. On a clear day, the spectacular view of Mount Chhomolari, also known as the Mountain of Goddess (24,000 ft), can be seen. After lunch, we'll visit the National Museum, housed in an ancient watchtower known as Ta Dzong. The museum has an impressive collection of ancient Thangka paintings, textiles, weapons, and artifacts. You can also take a leisurely walk to the traditional wooden bridge before returning to the hotel for the night. Your stay includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
We'll drive to Ramthongkha and then hike to the Taktshang viewpoint, also known as the Tiger's Nest, which takes about an hour and a half. This enchanting monastery is perched on a vertical granite cliff 3,000 ft above the valley floor. Though the monastery suffered fire damage in 1998, it has since been beautifully reconstructed. You'll spend the night at the hotel, and your stay includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
We'll take a scenic drive through the stunning valleys of Paro and Thimphu to the capital of Bhutan, Thimphu. Here, we'll visit the Zangthopelri Lhakhang, the School of Thankha Painting, and the Tashi Nincha folk studio, where traditional folk and mask dances are learned and practiced. In the afternoon, we'll visit the Zelukha Nunnery, TashiChho Dzong, and the Handicraft Emporium. You'll spend the night at the hotel, and your stay includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
In the morning, we'll visit the Memorial Chorten and also observe some gold and silversmiths at work. After lunch, we'll drive to Punakha via the Dochula Pass. We'll explore Punakha town and visit the Punakha Dzong if the monastic body has not relocated to Thimphu for the summer. Later in the evening, we'll drive to Wangdue town, where we'll spend the night at the hotel. Your stay includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner
We will visit Wangdue town before driving to Trongsa over the Pelela Pass, which is located at an altitude of 11,155 ft (3,400 m) in the Black Mountain ranges, separating the western region from the rest of the country. Your stay for the night will be at a hotel. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in your stay.
We will visit the outside premises of Trongsa Dzong, which is one of the largest Dzongs in the country. We will also visit the Ta Dzong (Watch Tower) and take a stroll through the small town of Trongsa. After lunch, we will drive to Bumthang Valley across the Yutola Pass. Your overnight stay will be at a hotel with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
Embark on a scenic drive to Ura, one of the four valleys of Bumthang. Discover the village and take in the natural beauty of the valley. Visit Ura Lhakhang and continue the drive through the picturesque Bumthang Valley to see Kurje Lhakhang, Tamshing Lhakhang, and Kuenshusum Lhakhang. Retire for the night at the hotel.
