Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Kathmandu to Paro by flight

Upon arrival at Paro Airport (7,000ft), you'll be greeted by our Bhutanese tour escort who will drive you to the hotel through the scenic valley of Paro. After settling in and freshening up, take a leisurely stroll around the charming town of Paro. Your stay includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and you'll spend the night at the hotel.

Day 2 : Paro sightseeing

We'll start our day by driving to the ruins of Drugyel Dzong, a site of significant historical importance. It was from this Dzong that the Bhutanese successfully defended against Tibetan invaders. On a clear day, the spectacular view of Mount Chhomolari, also known as the Mountain of Goddess (24,000 ft), can be seen. After lunch, we'll visit the National Museum, housed in an ancient watchtower known as Ta Dzong. The museum has an impressive collection of ancient Thangka paintings, textiles, weapons, and artifacts. You can also take a leisurely walk to the traditional wooden bridge before returning to the hotel for the night. Your stay includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 3 : Paro Excursion Day

We'll drive to Ramthongkha and then hike to the Taktshang viewpoint, also known as the Tiger's Nest, which takes about an hour and a half. This enchanting monastery is perched on a vertical granite cliff 3,000 ft above the valley floor. Though the monastery suffered fire damage in 1998, it has since been beautifully reconstructed. You'll spend the night at the hotel, and your stay includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 4 : Paro to Thimpu

We'll take a scenic drive through the stunning valleys of Paro and Thimphu to the capital of Bhutan, Thimphu. Here, we'll visit the Zangthopelri Lhakhang, the School of Thankha Painting, and the Tashi Nincha folk studio, where traditional folk and mask dances are learned and practiced.
