Highlights

Overview

The sublime views from mount Lobuche make it one of the most quintessentially well known mountain trek, notwithstanding its trouble level being more testing than that of close by Island Peak. From the summit, you’ll have the opportunity to gaze out at bold Everest, and also a few peaks on the Tibetan side of Rongbuk. Climbing Lobuche peak is an ordeal you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

We prepare for the Lobuche peak climbing with a stop at the Everest Base Camp. Here, you’ll figure out mountain life and an exercise on climbing. Our bodies will likewise acclimatise for the thin air on Lobuche. Altitude sickness is something we endeavor to evade, and our carefully made schedule is intended for ideal change. In transit, we’ll climb the “dark shake” of Kala Patthar, and experience a stunning Himalayan scene.

Obviously, it’s as much about the trip as the goal. Our trek will bring us through enchanting Sherpa towns, where you’ll encounter an essence of how people survive in probably the most cold residences on Earth, and discover that friendliness genuinely guarantees no dialect. Your photos will shock, and your recollections will flabbergast.

Get ready to embark on the summit quest of Mera Peak. The journey starts with a breathtaking 45-minute flight to Lukla (2800m), which is the gateway to all of the Everest adventures. The flight will offer stunning views of the entire Himalayan range and lush green hills, making it one of the best experiences of your life. Once you arrive at Lukla, you will need to obtain a Local Area Permit from the local authorities to continue your journey. There are several restricted villages along the way that require a permit for entry. Your next destination is Chhuthang (3020m), located to the east of Lukla. On the way, you will pass by small Sherpa settlements and Buddhist Mani walls, and Prayer wheels.

Today is the day we have been anxiously awaiting. We start our day in the early hours in order to reach the summit. Lobuche East offers more panoramic views of the mountains than other peaks - such as Island Peak. Arriving at Lobuche summit you can take in spectacular, panoramic, and exhilarating views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Pumori, and other nearby peaks. Our time at the summit is spent taking photos and taking a short rest before descending back to Thukla.

Our day begins right after breakfast and then we head downhill from Lobuche Base Camp and again join the Everest Base Camp route at Lobuche. After crossing the bridge, adorned with prayer flags, over the Dudh Koshi River the trail then traverses the Dudh Koshi gorge descending rapidly through the pine forests. The path eventually reaches Sansa which is the major trail junction in the region. We can then appreciate the ravening splendor of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Nuptse with every footstep. After a break for lunch, the trail hugs the mountainside before reaching Namche Bazaar and Kyangjuma, winding our way around several bends. We should keep a watchful eye on wildlife, such as mountain goats, snow leopards, colorful pheasants, and other animals while passing through the forest. Once we pass a Chorten (Buddhist shrine), we reach the army camp at Namche Bazaar. From here we can look back and absorb the beauty of Lhotse, the tip of Everest and Tengboche. After reaching our lodge we can take a nice hot shower and enjoy a relaxing night’s rest at Namche Bazaar.
Early morning after breakfast you will descend down to river Dudhkoshi, and cross several tributaries. Along the way, you can see many Sherpa settlements and a busy trail with tourists, people, and animals. You will get to Lukla for an overnight stay.
