Overview

The Guerrilla Trail Trek is a thrilling trekking trail through the war-affected region in the west of Nepal. The trail passes through Myagdi, Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve, Rukum, and Rolpa. The region is gifted with natural resources and biodiversity, 60% of Dhorpatan Reserve lies in Rukum, pristine streams, waterfalls, lakes, and hidden caves as well as the bold standing Dhaulagiri on the north. Along the trail, you will visit many sites where authentic Nepali hospitality is open and willing to host the traveler. This trek is for the traveler seeking an experience of a timeless land.

Important Note

Trip Itinerary

Our representative will pick you up at the international airport and drive you to the hotel. After then you will take a meandering evening walk with your guide through Kathmandu’s heritage sites, and get acquainted with one another over dinner together.
Today you will spend the day discovering medieval Kathmandu. Venture into Pashupatinath and visit Nepal’s largest Buddhist stupa, the Boudhanath Stupa. Later afternoon you will visit the monkey temple and then stroll around the durbar squares in the evening. Overnight stay at a hotel near Thamel.
You will take an 8-9 hours drive to Beni via Pohara. You will travel along the river Trishuli and Marsyangdi through scattered settlements, farm fields, and forests. On the way, you can observe a typical Nepalese lifestyle. You will get to Beni after driving 3 hours from Pokhara. You will stay in a hotel in Beni.
Today you will take a jeep drive to Darbang from where you will start trekking. From there you will cross the Myagdi river and start trekking up to Dharapani. You can get a stunning view of mount Gurja and Dhaulagiri 8167m from Dharapani. Your guide will optionally take you to Mattikana village and tell you interesting stories about that area. You will continue trekking up to Takam where you will stay overnight.
Today you will trek to Moreni via Sibang, Muna, and Lamsung. On the way, you will be accompanied by beautiful waterfalls. You will cross Dar Khola and get to Moreni for staying overnight.
Today you will be surprised by the dramatic views during a three-hour trek through the meadow of Jaljala. Afterward, you will trek along the Uttar Ganga river through the beautiful forest of rhododendron, pine, and juniper trees. The fresh breeze carrying the fragrance of wildflowers will make this trek more rewarding. Trekking further two hours you will get to Gurjghat for staying overnight.
Today your guide will take you to Bon Gompa where you can find monks practicing ancient healing techniques. You will continue trekking further to Chisapani via Chhentung. Afterward, you will get to the entrance of Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve where you will stay overnight.
You will continue trekking through Syal Pake and take a left trail to Bhaji. You can get an experience of this timeless land while trekking through the villages still untouched by modern trends. Your guide will lead you further to Nisi Dhor via Kanga where you will stay overnight in a tea house.
Today you will trek to Tallo Sera via Khoriya Danda. You will trek along the river Uttar Ganga passing by Gaba and Siba. Afterward, you will trek to Upallo Sera and then to Tallo Sera. Further descending you will get to Taka where you will enjoy warm Nepalese hospitality in a local house.
Today you will cross Till Pass at 3050m and descend to Lukum. Your guide will arrange you special program to observe Kham Magar's culture and Shamanistic practices in this region. You will stay overnight in Lukum in a tea house.
Today you will trek along the river Ruji and cross Syaubari Pass at 2670m. On the way, you can see apple orchards, scattered settlements, and stunning landscapes including mount Since. Afterward, you will cross the river Ri and get to Thawang. Your guide will tell you interesting details about this place which was the main base of Maoists. Your guide will also take you to Ajambari Jana Commune established in 2003. You will stay overnight in Thawang.
You will trek towards Jaljala crossing the river Fiba. On the way, your guide will take you to explore the Bhangma cave. Afterward, you will cross the river Golpu and get to Jemthang. Trekking further you will get to Sukulbang where you will stay overnight.
Today you will trek towards Jelbang through the ridge gazing straight ahead. You will get to Jelbang a beautiful village with a fearsome past. Your guide will tell you interesting stories about the village when once under Maoist rule. You will stay overnight in Jelbang.
From Jelbang you will take a jeep drive for six hours and reach Bhaluwang. Along the way, you can see typical Nepalese life and marketplaces. You will stay overnight in Bhaluwang.
Today you will take a bus drive to Kathmandu via the Mahendra highway. On the way, you can get amazing views of living in Nepal from the bus window. You will get to Kathmandu for staying overnight in a hotel near Thamel.
Make the most of your last minutes in Kathmandu with breakfast in a bistro, a city walk, and additional trinket shopping. Your guide will meet you at your inn and drive you to the airport two hours before the scheduled flight
