Overview

Annapurna Circuit Trek leads you around the most beautiful mountains of Annapurna Conservation Area including mount Annapurna I 8091m,  Dhaulagiri 8167m, and Machhapuchhre 6993m. The conservation area covers 7629 sq. Km. of the area which consists of mountain peaks, alpine meadows, trans-Himalayan valleys, pristine forests, lakes, glaciers, and rivers. On this trek, you will get to see the stunning view of the world’s highest-altitude lake Tilicho lake situated at 4919m. You will also pass through the world’s deepest canyon Kaligandaki gorge which separates mount Annapurna I on the east and Dhaulagiri on the west.

Discover the amazing Annapurna conservation area which is home to  101 species of mammals, 474 species of birds, 39 species of reptiles, and 22 species of amphibians. The animals symbolic of this area are the Snow leopard, Musk deer, Tibetan Argali, Tibetan wolf, and Tibetan fox. Bird species symbolic of the area are the Golden eagle, Demoiselle Crane, and various pheasants. Annapurna conservation area is Nepal’s prime protected area consisting entire spectrum of habitats from subtropical Sal forest to perennial snow. Annapurna is home to over 10 ethnic groups including Gurung, Thakali, Bhotia, Tibetan, Magar, Brahmin, Kshetri, Kami, Damai, and Sarki. Annapurna circuit trek can be the most rewarding trek for first-time trekkers in Nepal.

Important Note

Trip Itinerary

Our representative will pick you up at the international airport and drive you to the hotel. After then you will take a meandering evening walk with your guide through Kathmandu’s heritage sites, and get acquainted with one another over dinner together.
Today you will spend the day discovering medieval Kathmandu. Venture into Pashupatinath and visit Nepal’s largest Buddhist stupa, the Boudhanath Stupa. Later afternoon you will visit the monkey temple and then stroll around the durbar squares in the evening. Overnight stay at a hotel near Thamel.
You will take a bus driver for 6-7 hours to Khudi via Besisahar. From Khudi you will get the first view of mount Manaslu. You will stay overnight in Khudi.
Today you will trek through beautiful landscape crossing many river streams and glancing close view of mount Manaslu and Nadi Chuli peak. You will stay overnight in Sirung.
From Sirung you will descend down to Marsyangdi river through a beautiful forest with rich biodiversity. Along the river, you will cross to reach Jagat for staying overnight.
You will continue descending down to Dharapani via Chyamje, Sattale, and Karte through lush green Rhododendron forest crossing several river streams. Overnight stay in Dharapani.
This day will be a very rewarding day with beautiful mountain views of Annapurna, Lamjung Himal, and a few hot springs where you can dip to get healing. You will stay overnight at Chame.
A physically demanding day through the steep rocky mountain to the dramatic vistas of Marsyangdi valley. You will enter the valley through Poungda Danda and continue the trek to lower Pisang for staying overnight.
On this day you will trek to Upper Pisang via Geru. You will observe the drastic change in the environment which becomes cold and dry with rare vegetation. On the way, you will visit to Barge monastery while gazing at the wonderful mountain views of Annapurna and Pisang.
Today you will take a rest at Manang for acclimatization. You can hike to Gangapurna Lake or Bhojo Gompa and spend the rest of the day embracing the epic beauty of Manang.
This day you will continue the trek along the Marsyangdi valley to climb out of it and get to Jarsang Khola. You will trek through grasslands, and juniper trees and reach to the village of Ghunsa. You will continue further where you will notice old Mani wall and meadows where yaks and horses graze. You will stay overnight in Yak Kharka.
You will continue ascending the trek to Ledar village and then to Thorong Phedi which is the last village before Thorong La Pass. On the way, you will see beautiful views of mount Gundang, mount Syagang, Thorung Peak, and mount Khatungkan.
Today is the most strenuous day of this trek. Thorong La Pass is among the world’s highest mountain passes scaling 5416m. You will climb up to the pass take some photos, embrace the view, and make some memories. After spending a while at the Pass you will start descending down to one of the holiest Hindu temples Muktinath at the bottom of the Thorong La Pass.
Early morning today you will visit Muktinath temple which is one of the most sacred Vishnu temples and a Gumba nearby. After breakfast, you will continue the trek descending down to Kagbeni and Jomsom. You will trek further to Marpha and stay overnight. Marpha village got its name for its popular apple brandy industry throughout the ages.
You will continue trekking through beautiful Thakali villages and apple gardens along the way to Chokhopani. Next, you will continue to Kalopani gazing at the beautiful views of mount Nilgiri, Tukuche, Annapurna, and Dhaulagiri. After then you will cross the river and get to Kalopani for staying overnight.
Today you will trek down to Ghasa. As you continue downwards you will find more vegetation, you will pass by Rupse waterfall and finally reach to Tatopani where you will immerse yourself in a natural hot spring.
Today you will trek through the beautiful farmland of villages Shikha and Chitre and continue to the lush green rhododendron forest. You will then trek up to ridge top Ghorepani for staying overnight.
Very early in the morning you will trek up to Poon hill and experience the dramatic views of sunrise and the glowing mountain range. Poon hill is the most popular trekking destination in Nepal. After making some good memories in Poon hill you will trek down to Ghorepani, have breakfast and continue to Tadapani through the lush green rhododendron forest and several streams. You will stay overnight in Tadapani.
You will continue the trekking through dense rhododendron forest accompanied by breathtaking views of mountains and landscape. You will pass by beautiful Ghandruk village and further trek down to Birethati. From there you will trek to Nayapul and take a bus drive to Pokhara. You will stay overnight in a hotel in Lakeside Pokhara.
Today you will take an early morning flight to Kathmandu. Your guide will drive you to your hotel. You can spend the day in leisure or stroll out in the city doing amazing activities. At the end of the day, you will have a farewell dinner party from the team of Trek Around Himalayas.
Make the most of your last minutes in Kathmandu with breakfast in a bistro, a city walk, and additional trinket shopping. Your guide will meet you at your inn and drive you to the airport two hours before the scheduled flight.
