At Pashupatinath, the sacred Hindu temple, you will witness the throngs of pilgrims who come to pay homage during festivals like Mahashivaratri and Teej. Your guide will enlighten you with tales of the gods and goddesses associated with the temple, as you explore the numerous Shivalayas, Ghats on the Bagmati River, and more.

You will then drive to the bustling market of Chabahil and Boudha, to visit the Bouddhanath stupa. This famous tourist spot attracts both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims, and you will be able to sense its peaceful energy as you circle the stupa.

Next, you will head to the Swyambhunath temple, also known as the monkey temple, stopping for lunch at a Nepali restaurant on the way. The tour concludes with a drive back to your hotel, allowing you to spend the evening at leisure.

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at the airport, be greeted by our representative waiting outside the terminal. They will escort you to the centrally located hotel in Kathmandu, and assist with the check-in process. After settling in, you can choose to relax at the hotel or visit our Trek Around Himalayas office to gather information about your trip. To cap off your first day, we will treat you to a warm welcome dinner.

Day 2 : Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing

The Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour will start after breakfast and is a guided day trip to explore the major heritage sites in this historic city. During the tour, you will visit the beautiful temples and stupas of Kathmandu such as Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Swyambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square at last. With a knowledgeable guide, you will also visit lesser-known corners of the valley to experience the rich Nepalese culture. The tour starts early in the morning at 7 am with pick-up from your hotel. You will first visit the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, a world heritage site and popular destination for Hindu pilgrims during the festivals of Mahashivaratri and Teej. After exploring the temple, you will drive to Bouddhanath stupa, a popular tourist spot, and center of belief for both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. Following a visit to Bouddhanath, you will head to Swyambhunath temple, also known as the monkey temple, for lunch and a stunning view of the Kathmandu Valley. From Monkey temple you will move to Kathmandu Durbar Square to explore the old and ancient architecture of Kathmandu. After a full day of sightseeing, you will return to your hotel in the evening.
